Is satellite cable the same as tv aerial cable.

I would hazard a guess that if the cable comes from a dish already and assuming isnt damaged in anyway that it is adequate. Seems to me they are pretty much the same thing scratch. I need to move my tv and the satellite cable is not long enough but i do have some aerial coax can i just put the satellite plugs on the other coax cable.
