Damon braces are self ligating appliances that are fitted in the same way as traditional metal braces.

Damon clear braces are made from ceramic and are similar to traditional clear braces the bracket is transparent so the braces are much less noticeable on your teeth. The damon system reduces friction and improves oral hygiene by eliminating elastic ties. The clear brackets known as damon clear are made of ceramic and can be tooth colored or transparent. Damon braces are available in two versions metal and clear.

The difference between damon ceramic braces and other brands is the lack of visible metal parts and elastic ties making them even less noticeable. This means that instead of using elastic bands ligatures to keep the archwire that moves your teeth attached to the metal brackets damon braces use a slide mechanism like a small spring loaded door to secure the wire. Unlike conventional braces the damon system uses gentle forces designed to protect the health of your teeth and gums while in treatment. Ceramic damon system uses the same self ligating friction less system as damon but with an aesthetic touch.

Damon braces the damon system utilizes a patented slide mechanism to connect archwires to the bracket while allowing the wire to move freely. But instead of having brackets that tighten and adjust the braces regularly damon braces use a slide mechanism that attaches wires to brackets to move naturally with the teeth as they realign. Stainless steel and polycarbonate are used for the metal brackets.
