When you release the tension in the spring the cotter pin that is inserted in the holes in the awning arms are removed. Take the awning arm laying against your coach and the one still in the leg and reconnect them by sliding the one in the arm up and realigning the knob bring it all the way back up until it clicks into the knuckle push on the leg to tighten the awning fabric and tighten that knob back up. Insert the cotter pin to hold the spring tension.

Replace the awning arm on the end piece and replace the bolt. Step 1 prepare to re insert the cotter pin. I can do that. They are showing me how to install.

You do not need to put the screws back in. The fabric and the arms have to be centered for it to work properly. You can leave the support arms hanging freely but it might help to simply slide the stops back into the leg channel. Basically you grasp the end piece with vice grips and have your helper be ready to re insert the cotter pin.

Now you are ready for the front. The struts that push out the awning usually won t get more tension they will loose it since they are filled with gas. Roll the awning back up to observe how tight it is. Wind the spring by the number of turns indicated for your model in the direction indicated on the end cap.

With the awning out try pushing it in by hand at each side and this will tell you if there is a bind or restriction on the system. Remove the 2 phillips head screws from the bottom end of the outer section. The tension arms are what you adjust to make the awning taut after it has been lowered. The manuals you forwarded to me are not explaining how to put tension back on the awning.

Reattach the rear awning leg and lower both leg sections completely. 1 lower the awning so the roller tube is as close to the ground as possible. I m actually very handy and i have had another person helping me install three of them. 2 the support arm consists of an outer and inner section.
